Waterford, Number 1, Urban, Union and County Waterford, by J. A.
Kelleher, Registrar.

Note: Edward Eustace was born
about 1820. The 1901 census shows Catherine Eustace, a 60 year
old widow as household head of house 4.2 in John's Lane
(Waterford Urban No. 3) County Waterford. Also living in the
home were her sons, Thomas, age 30, and Edward, age 27, and
daughter Bridget, 25. All were born in Waterford city, unmarried
and Roman Catholic. Thomas Eustace was a
Solicitors General Clerk, Edward
was a general laborer; Bridget had no occupation listed.

gardener, age about 28 years old, bachelor; died June 15, 1908
at Gorey of pulmonary tuberculosis, (six months) certified.
Margaret Eustace, his mother, was present at the death which was
registered June 26, 1908 in the District and Union of Gorey,
County Wexford.

October 1, 1908 from senile decay, (one and one half months),
certified. Stephen Eustace, of Dereen, her son, was present at
the death which was registered October 5, 1908 in the District
of Durrow, Union of Abbeyleix, Queen’s County, by Daniel
O’Brien, Assistant Registrar.
Note: Bessy Delany, daughter of Denis Delany, a laborer of
Doreen, Queen’s County married Patrick Eustace, son of Stephen
Eustace, a laborer on February 14, 1870 at the Roman Catholic
Chapel of Doreen. The 1901 shows Elizabeth Eustace, age 60, a
widow as the head of household of house number 1, Dereen and
Carrowreagh (Aghmacart, Queen's Co.). Also in the home her were
sons Stephen, age 28, and Patrick Eustace, age 25, both
agricultural laborers. All family members were Roman Catholic.

about 70 years, spinster, no occupation, died 4 December 1908 at
21 South Terrace, Cork City. The cause of death was listed as
cardiac embolism (one half hour) and varicose veins (five
years), certified. Mary Leahy of 3 Evergreen Road, Cork, was
present at her death which was registered on 7 December 1908 in
the District, Union and County of Cork by Patrick J. Hayes,
Registrar.

Kilrush, County Clare, a married laborer, died of chronic heart
disease on March 29, 1908 in Union Hospital, Kilrush. John
Eustace is believed to be the husband of Mary O’Donnell Eustace
who died in 1902. However, it appears John remarried.

from an accidental burn on December 22, 1907 at the city and
county infirmary.
The information was received from

December 24, 1907 and the death (Number 304) was registered on
January 3, 1908 at the District of Waterford, No. 2, Urban,
County and Union of Waterford; J. A. Kelleher, Registrar.

death which was registered on December 12, 1908 at the District
of Galway No. 2, Union and County of Galway; Thomas Lydon,

He died on September 16, 1908 in Gowerhass. He is believed to
be buried with his wife in the Kilmacduane/Cooraclare Cree
Graveyard - (see Bridget Eustace died 1903). Their children
included: Mary, born 1870; Michael, born 1871; Thomas, born 1873
who farmed in Gowerhass; John, born 1875; Catherine, born 1876;
Mary, born 1876; Patrick, born 1878; Mary, born 1878; Simon,
born 1880; James, born 1882 and Richard, born 1887.

Wexford; F. Nolan; Registrar. William Eustace was born about
1828.

spinster; no occupation listed; of Ballyscartan, Gorey, County

Wexford; Witnesses: William Brien & Maria Sunderland; Celebrant:
William O’Neill, C.C. (This would make William born about 1840).
The 1901 Census of Ireland lists William Eustace, blacksmith,
age 62, married, living at Ballymoney Lower (Courtown). He was a
Roman Catholic and could read and write. Margaret Eustace
of Ballymoney, County Wexford died at Enniscorthy, 6 November
1903, aged 60; she was the wife of a blacksmith.
