Family of Thomas Remillard & Esther Berube

Thomas6 Rémillard; Guillaume1; Francois2; Antoine3; Jean-Baptiste4; Francois5; (Francois and Marie-Reine Brochu); baptized 8 October 1825 at St-Gervais-de-Bellechasse, Quebec; married Esther Berube (Joseph Berube and Anastasie Morin) on 19 July 1853 in St-Gervais de Bellechasse, Quebec; Esther Berube born about 1831, emigrated to the US during the late 1870’s and was living with three sons (surname “Ramier”) at Negaunee, Michigan in 1880; her age on the 1880 census was given as 49 years and she stated that she could not read or write. Esther Remillard, age 70 years, resided with her son Napoleon and his wife Mary at Marquette, Michigan, Ward IV in 1910;

Thomas Remillard and Esther Berube had the following identified children (there are likely more):

1.      Joseph-Zepherin Alfred Remillard (also Remear, Ramillard), born 8 May 1862 (possibly at St-Raphael-de-Bellechasse, Quebec? Need record); married 10 May 1887 in ____ Michigan to Marie Euphrosine Rose; Residence Negaunee, Michigan (1880); Michigan (1888 -- Polk Directory); Michigan (1892 –Polk Directory); Michigan (1897 – Polk Directory); Franklin Township, Houghton County, Michigan (1900); Red Lake Falls, Minnesota (1905); Fergus Falls, Minnesota State Hospital (1910-1939);  he died 5 May 1939 at Fergus Falls, Minnesota;

2.      Joseph Remillard; baptized 14 September 1867 at St. Raphael-de-Bellechasse; married Mary King (Roy); Residence Negaunee, Michigan (1880; Residence Negaunee Township, Ward 2, Marquette, Michigan (1910); he died in 1914/15;

3.      Napoleon Remillard; baptized 24 September 1869 at St. Raphael-de-Bellechasse; married Bertha _____;  Residence Negaunee, Michigan (1880; Residence City of Marquette, Michigan (1900 & 1910);
