Martin Jordan, son of
Patrick, was born about 1842 at Cloonlavish
Townland, Knock Parish, County Mayo.
He married Brigid Glynn at the
Knock Parish Chapel on 5
February 1870. They were the parents of the following children;
1. Mary Jordan, born 4 November 1870 at Cloonlavish
(family says 27 October 1872); she married Patrick McAndrews
on 31 May 1898 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savage, Minnesota.
She died 31 May 1946 at Burnsville, Minnesota and is buried at St John the
Baptist Cemetery, Burnsville, MN.
2. Margaret Jordan, ("Mag")
born 25 December 1871 at Cloonlavish (family date
25 December 1874); emigrated to Minnesota, she married Timothy Hayes;
she died in 1967; buried at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery,
Burnsville, MN;
3. Patrick Jordan; born
29 July 1873 at Cloonlavish; died in infancy
4. Anne Jordan; born 19
September 1875 at Cloonlavish; died in infancy;
5. Thomas Jordan; born
20 December 1876; died in infancy;
6.Martin Jordan; born 24
December 1879 (family date 24 December 1878) at Cloonlavish,
Co. Mayo; died 1975 at Cloonlavish, Parish of
Knock, Co. Mayo, Ireland;
7. Michael Jordan;
born 22 January 1884 (family 14 December 1882) (baptismal record
states birth on 2 December (baptism at Knock on December 5th,
1883) at Cloonlavish; emigrated to US, worked on
the railroad in a variety of jobs, died 27 November 1966 in St Paul,
Minnesota in 1965; buried in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Burnsville, MN.
