Thomas & Ann (Crystal) Lang Family of Glen (near Coolaney), County Sligo

Thomas Lang married Ann Crystal in County Sligo, Ireland. They lived their entire lives in County Sligo and died before 1862. They had three daughters; Ann (b.1836 Sligo; d.1912 Minnesota), Winifred (b.1832, Sligo; d.1899 Wisconsin), and Mary (died Ireland), and four sons; Patrick (b.1809 Sligo; d. 1891 Wisconsin), Michael (b. 1814, Sligo; d. 1890, Minnesota), Thomas (alive in Ireland in 1858) and Andrew (b.1827 Sligo, d.1899-Minnesota). Two daughters and three sons came to the United States. One daughter, Mary and one son, Thomas are believed to have died in Ireland before 1862.

The Family of Thomas Lang & Ann Crystal:

I). PATRICK LANG. Born in 1809 in County Sligo, Ireland. In 1844, he was living in the townland of Kinagrelly near Coolaney, County Sligo when his son Thomas was baptized.

II). MICHAEL LANG was born about 1814 County Sligo and died in 1890 at age of 76.

III). ANDREW LANG; born, 1827, Co. Sligo, Ireland; died April 26, 1899, at his home in St. Mary's Township, Waseca, Co., Minnesota at the age of 82.

IV). WINIFRED LANG; She was born November 12, 1832 in Co. Sligo, Ireland. She came to the United States with her brothers, Andrew, Michael, and Patrick, in 1847 and settled at Eldorado, Wisconsin she married Mark Crain on February 12, 1880. She died at Eldorado, Jan. 16, 1899.

V). ANN LANG was born May 1, 1836 in Co. Sligo, Ireland


VII). THOMAS LANG; Thomas Lang Jr. was living at Glen townland, County Sligo in 1858 when Griifith's Valuation was taken. His father Thomas Sr. is also listed in Griffith's Valuation.
